Welcome

Hi. My name is John Percival and I was approached in the first half of 2023 to see if I could find a way to prevent Delfinware from going into administration, the company had been losing significant amounts of money for years and was on the verge of going bust.

History

I got into business at a very young age. Between school and working at the local greengrocers from the age of 11, I was also plotting my own business and set up my first "proper" business when I was 14, selling stationery through 'school kid' agents in 9 local schools.

From taking over my schools tuck shop - to renting out TVs and Videos - to opening a chain of Mobile Phone Shops - to creating the world's first online estate agency - I just loved being involved in creating and building businesses.

I have been involved for years in helping companies succeed. Both by building what was the largest free business advice forum, but also working with troubleshooting companies.

Vision

I got to know Delfinware, because part of my company had started opening cookshops (an operation we are no longer involved in) and because we were also manufacturing in the UK.

We went from looking at how we could help, to realising the only way we could help the company survive was if we made an offer to take it over and throw everything at it.

I will be honest - it was a much bigger can of worms than we expected, but we are getting there. Delfinware is still losing money, but much less than it has for the past decade. We are for the first time in a generation, launching new products, finding ways to improve the quality of the existing products and looking to modernise the factory.
